“A body of work shaped by African musicology and thirty years of teaching.”
Kolawole Emmanuel Olawale (formerly Oyadiran) B.A., M.A., Ph.D. obtained music degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria, specialising in Performance, Composition, and African musicology. He has over 30 years' experience teaching music and music-related courses across Nigerian universities. Currently a Professor and Music Director at Bowen University Iwo, Nigeria, he has contributed deeply to Applied Music and Composition, with works performed within and outside the country.
His scores and performances appear in films such as Fiwajomi (Mount Zion Drama Ministry, 2010) and This Is Your Life (RCCG National Drama Troupe, 2012). He coordinated Opera Resurgence, and premiered his first musical work It Was Me in 2011 at Redeemer's University, Ogun State.
